The bar is licensed for the sale of alcohol on the premises providing that it is managed by a member of the Village Hall Committee.
The bar has a general stock but can be adapted to meet your specific needs:
- beer and/or lager on draught
- barrels of beer
- bottled beer, lager and cider
- range of spirits and mixers
- red, white, rose wines as well as prosecco and champagne
- soft drinks
We will discuss your requirements before the date of your event. If special items are purchased but not fully used (and cannot be used for a subsequent event) then they may need to be recharged - this will be made clear in advance.
The Hall will provide the bar staff for your event and are able to serve welcome drinks and top up during meals and speeches if required.
Supply of alchohol & Welcome Drinks
We will seek to provide any alcohol that you require and no other drinks should be brought onto the premises except by prior agreement. If we are unable to source your drinks then a corkage charge of £5 per 70cl wine/prosecco bottle will be made or an equivalent for beer and/or spirits.
We can supply and serve a variety of welcome drinks and wine for the table. Please enquire for prices.
If you do not require a bar for the sale of alcohol then you can provide your own alcohol (free of charge) for your guests. However we do not, under any circumstances, allow for the sale of such alchohol on the premises regardless of whether you have obtained your own license. If at any stage it becomes likely that this is the case then your booking will be cancelled.
Arrangements can be made for wholly or partially funding the bar for the benefit of your guests. Please discuss this with your wedding co-ordinator.
18th Birthday Parties
The Hall does not encourage 18th Birthday Parties or events for 17-18 year olds. Families located in the parish can approach the Committee on a case by case basis for an 18th Birthday Party but discussions will need to take place to ensure that sufficient adult supervision is available and to ensure that the event can be handled safely.
No alchohol will be sold to guests under 18 and you may be asked for identification.
